A part of the Dublin scene since 1852, The Clarence Hotel was purchased in 1992 by two members of the rock group U2, Bono and The Edge.
They took on the task of restoring The Clarence, creating their own vision of the ideal place to stay.

The Clarence offers an ideal location in the city centre on the River Liffey with individually designed rooms and suites, including the famous Penthouse and The Clarence Suite, a refreshing and alternative wedding venue.
Being the main function room of the hotel, weddings from 20 - 77 persons can be catered for a sit down meal and up to 120 persons for an evening reception style event. Wedding menu choices range from a simple selection of canapés to a five course dinner. The residents lounge named The Study can be hired out exclusively for pre-wedding drinks.
